About Goldstraw Goldsmiths - Est. 1981
Goldstraws is a family-run business, established in 1981, by Paul Goldstraw.
We love St Neots and the surrounding community and have many loyal customers. In 2019, we achieved our best year of business, something we are incredibly proud of.
Our journey so far.
Paul left school in 1976, aged 16, and become an apprentice to Robert (Bob) Wallace, a Hatton Garden craftsman, and very talented Goldsmith. During Paul's five year apprenticeship at Quayside Jewellers, he made all types of jewellery - from simple cut out pendants to bespoke tiaras and cocktail rings. He works with platinum, gold and silver.
Paul's first premises was a concession in the department store, Barretts of St Neots. With a permanent flow of people into the shop, Paul developed a loyal customer base. The business grew, and in 1997, Paul moved to his own retail unit in Cross Keys Mews.
In 2016, Goldstraw Goldsmiths expanded into a new shop - 14 High Street, St Neots.
This move marked the next chapter for Goldstraw Goldsmiths, with a larger premises, more staff, and a modern feel.
With a prominent position in the town centre, we have opened our doors to many more people as well as bringing more new stock and services to our valued customers. Consequently, 2019 was our best year of business.
All of us at Goldstraws have a detailed understanding and passion for jewellery and repair so come and speak to one of the team. There is nothing we can't do when it comes to jewellery.
